Ladies and Gents, let’s get to know Chance Bateman from COCKY BASTARD by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. Book cover is our beloved NICK AYLER. ♥
The cover didn’t give him justice, right? 😉 Wait ’til you read the book and imagine Nick Ayler playing the role of Chance Bateman. A little recap with Chance in the book, shall we? He’s Australian. 28 years old. And sort of retired professional soccer player because of some torn ACL. Now doing some ‘junk art’ or recycled art. He and the heroine Aubrey encountered some cluster fuck in the road bringing them together in an unforgettable road trip evah! I guess you’re also wondering why he’s called a Cocky Bastard, that is because of his initials C.B. on the Harley he used in traveling. It’s supposed to be Chance Bateman but Aubrey called him Cocky Bastard to spite him instead. Don’t ask why because he really is. Highlight of their road trip would be the freaking blind goat that collapses when scared. I’m not telling the details but the story goes nasty before the end of the first part of their story. It’s funny, sexy and heartbreaking. Talk about second chances and happy endings. Read the book! 🙂
